Education Class Syllabus
TK through 8th grade Physical Education
The
teacher will promote the importance of physical activities and functioning of
the human body through Physical Education because it is an integral part of the
total educational program of each student. Through sports and movement all
students will participate in a sequential, differentiated program that will
foster each student's personal health and fitness. Through the exposure of a
wide variety of activities, students will gain the necessary knowledge to make
educated decisions to achieve and maintain a healthy lifestyle.
PE Daily Procedures
1. Rows and Attendance
2. Warm-up and stretching
3. Introduction and instruction of skills necessary for daily activities
4. Daily Activity, Game /Team Sports
5. Once a month fitness day / 10 minute run (4th and 5th), and 15 min run
(6th-8th) /mile-run
6. Cool Down and Dismissal

Discipline Procedures
Each student will be held accountable for their own
behavior in class. All students will serve the same repercussions if
behavior is not in line with the rules above. They are as follows:
1. First offense, student will serve a two minute penalty from participation.
2. Second offense, points will be deducted from the daily criteria.
3. Third offense, student will lose privilege of participation
from class and will get points deduction for that day, a write-up,
and/or parent/guardian contact. In addition, the principal and teacher will be informed of the situation.

Daily Criteria
Attendance / Proper uniform – 50 points
Behavior - 25 points
Participation / Effort - 25 points
Total = 100 points DAILY
TK-2nd
Reminder: If a student is absent from PE for any reason, the
parent/guardian must notify the school office or submit a note/letter in order to
be excused. If a student is not in
complete PE uniform, 25 points will be deducted from the 100 points
criteria.
3rd and 4th
Reminder: If a student is absent from PE for any reason, the
parent must notify the school office or submit a
note/letter in order to be excused. If a student is
not in complete PE uniform, 50 points will be deducted from the 100 point daily
criteria. The student may submit a
written report/essay regarding health, fitness, nutrition, wellness.
This must be submitted no later than the next PE day schedule, in order for the
student to complete their points for that particular day.
5th-8th
